..Respondents Prayer:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to pass orders on the representation dated 03.03.2015 seeking extension and grant of special time scale of pay by implementing G.O.Ms.385, Finance [Pay Cell] Department dated 01.10.2010 and other consequential benefits thereon on merits and within a time to be stipulated by this Court.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
The petitioner would state that she was initially appointed as Sweeper on a consolidated pay of Rs.940/- per month and it was subsequently increased to Rs.1020/- per month. It is further submitted that her appointment along with the others was made in the respective Union Schools in the Districts and the services of the petitioner and other similarly placed persons continued to be https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
engaged for more that 20 years. In this regard, the Finance Department has also issued G.O.Ms.No.385 dated 01.10.2010 bringing the consolidated pay employees into the time scale of pay. The petitioner, in this regard, has also submitted a representation dated 03.03.2015 to the respondents, praying for conferment of the benefits in terms of the above cited Government Order and since no orders have been passed, she came forward to file this writ petition.
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.V.Subbiah, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
This Court considering the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the same, directs the 3rd respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 03.03.2015 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
