Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioners' representation, dated 11.03.2026 and thereby direct the respondents to issue patta in the name of petitioners in regard to the property situated in Survey Nos.675 and 676, No.26, Vilangadupakkam, Ponneri Taluk, Tiruvallur District to an extent of 2.60.0 hectares. ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed to direct the respondents to issue patta in the name of the respective petitioners for the respective properties more fully disclosed in the affidavit filed in support of this Writ Petition.

2. The petitioners had submitted a representation on 11.03.2026 for the aforesaid purpose. Since the same has not been considered by the respondents, the petitioners have filed this Writ Petition.

3. Mr.C.Jayaprakash, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4. No prejudice will be caused to the respondents if the petitioners' representation, as stated supra, is considered on merits and in accordance with law after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioners within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. This Court is not expressing any opinion on merits of the petitioners' representation.

5. For the foregoing reasons, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the fourth respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioners' representation, dated 11.03.2026 seeking for issuance of house site patta in the respective names for the respective properties more fully disclosed in the affidavit filed in support of this Writ Petition, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioners and after hearing all the necessary parties, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. W.M.P.No.17610 of 2026 is ordered subject to payment of separate Court fee. 27.04.2026 Index : yes/no Speaking order/Non-speaking order : yes/no grs 3/5
