This matter is taken up for hearing through Video Conferencing mode.

2. There is no representation for the petitioner.

3. The petitioner seeks for mandamus directing the respondents to include the name of the petitioner in the panel selected for Notary public in the interview held on 28.04.2018.

4. Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Special Government Pleader submitted that the panel list already prepared in the year 2018 was put to question before this Court by various persons and all those writ petitions were dismissed. He further submitted that the said writ petitions however, pertains to other districts and not in respect of Nagapattinam District, for which, the petitioner is making his claim. Insofar as the Nagapattinam District is concerned, the learned Special Government Pleader submitted that already the list is prepared and published in the District gazette and therefore, without challenging the said list, the petitioner cannot seek for mandamus as prayed for in this writ petition.

Thereafter, the matter is listed again today for hearing and however, there is no representation for the petitioner. Therefore, this Court is left with no other option, except to record the above submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader and close this writ petition however, by granting liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedy as against the list already prepared and published, in the manner known to law before appropriate forum. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is closed. No costs.
