(Order of the Court was made by V.M.VELUMANI, J.) The petitioner has come out with the present writ petition for a direction to the 1st respondent to pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 18.06.2018.

2. Heard Mr.P.Wesley Isaac, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as Mr.A.C.Manibharathi, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 1st respondent, Mr.P.Chandrasekar, learned counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent and perused the entire materials on record.

3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is residing at old No.11, new No.101, Parasuramaeashwaran Koil West Mada Street, Ayanavaram, Chennai, for the past several decades. While so, the 2nd respondent is raising an illegal construction at old No.10, new No.45 in the same locality, where the petitioner resides. Fearing that the said illegal construction would cause damage to the residents, the petitioner sent a 2/4

representation to the 1st respondent on 18.06.2018, for taking suitable action against the 2nd respondent. Since no action has been taken on the said representation, the petitioner has come out with the present writ petition.

In view of the above, the 1st respondent is directed to inspect the property in question within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner as well as the 2nd respondent and if found any unauthorised construction has been put up by the 2nd respondent, the 1st respondent is directed to take appropriate action against the 2nd respondent as per the provisions and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks thereafter.
