The petitioner, who was remanded to judicial custody on 09.05.2024 for an alleged offence punishable under Sections 406 and 420 IPC in Crime No.19 of 2024, seeks bail.

2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He is not involved in cheating the customers by not supplying the materials. He further submits that he is ready to abide by any conditions that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prays to grant bail to the petitioner.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent submitted that petitioner claimed himself as owner of Nellai Food Products at Trichy by giving paper publication. Believing that, the defacto complainant and others deposited the amount to the tune of Rs.65 lakhs/-. However, subsequently, no material was supplied. Sofar, five complainants have been received. Hence, he vehemently opposed for the grant of bail to the petitioner.

gd 4.Considering the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) that the investigation in this case is not completed and it is in initial stage and no recovery has been made sofar, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
