No.6404 of 2002 from the file of Tamil Nadu Administrative Tribunal with a prayer to call for the records in connection with the files relating to the petitioner regarding the proceedings issued in P.R. No.10/98 dated 13.08.98 of the Superintendent of Police, Head Quarters, III Battalion, the 3rd respondent herein, and subsequently the proceedings issued in Na.Ka. No.B2/6160/2000 Me.Mu. No. 30/2000 dated 17.7.2000 of the 2nd respondent and subsequently the proceedings issued in Na.Ka. No. B2/6817/2002 dated 23.05.2002 by 2nd respondent and set aside the same.

O R D E R
This petition has been filed challenging the impugned punishment of Postponement of increment for a period of two years with cumulative effect issued by the fourth respondent, the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Superintendent of Police, Coimbatore. The 3rd respondent, The Commandant, III Battalion, Veerapuram confirmed the punishment. The 2nd respondent also, rejecting the appeal filed by the petitioner confirmed the punishment. As against the same, when the petitioner filed an appeal before the 1st respondent, the Inspector General of Police, Chennai it was rejected by his impugned proceedings dated 23.05.2002. As against which, the Original Application No.6404 of 2002 was filed. Subsequently, the matter was transferred to this Court as Writ Petition.
2. When the matter was taken up, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that nothing survives in the writ petition since the petitioner himself has admitted the charges and on that basis only he was issued with the charge memo.
3. Further, no one appeared on behalf of the petitioner either on 07.01.2015 or on 08.01.2015 i.e. today.
4. In view of the above, the Writ Petition is dismissed for default. No order as to costs.
