ORDER
The Petitioner is the President of the Parambarai Sthanigar Sangam of the Sri Dharbaraneswarar Swami Devasthanam (in short 'Temple'). The petitioner claims hereditary rights in
regard to one of the Warais in the Temple housing the Tirunallar Saneeswarar Bhagwan shrine and claims certain hereditary rights. The 'Warai',a log is stated to be used in the Sri Shenbaga Thiyagaraja Unmatha Nadanam and the Abishekam of Sri Shenbaga Thiyagarajaswamy. The Warais were moved from the Palliarai of the Temple to a room near Nataraja Sannadhi about 30 years ago.

Recently, there was a move to shift the Warais to a location near the Vasanthakal Mandapam and the petitioner has filed a representation on 10.01.2019 seeking that the Warai be retained in the Natarajar Sannadhi. As early as on 29.01.2020, my predecessor had, as measure of amicably settling the matter, directed the petitioner to meet the Executive Officer of the Temple on any day between 05.02.2020 and 07.02.2020 to putforth his grievances. The meeting transpired as scheduled.
3. Mr.J.Kumaran, learned Additional Government Pleader would state that the petitioners' request for retention of the Warai in the Natarajar Sannadhi has been rejected. This appears to be the consistent stand taken by the Temple in the case of the six other Sthanigars and all the Warais are presently in safe keeping in the Vasanthakal Mandapam of the Temple in the outer prakaram. The respondents also confirm in their counter that the Warai, ropes and cloths have been securely kept in the new room under CCTV surveillance and as such the apprehensions of the petitioner that the same would not be safe or secure seem unwarranted.

In any event, with the conduct of the meeting as scheduled by this Court and the rejection of the prayer of the petitioner in representation dated 10.01.2019, nothing further survives in this writ petition and the same is closed. The petitioner is at liberty to challenge the decision of Executive Officer (stated by Mr.Kumaran to be part of the minutes of the meeting) in accordance with law. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
