Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to form a Town Vending Committee, Ward and Zone Vending Committee within his jurisdiction of Thirukovilur Town Panchayat, as per the provisions of the Central Act No.7 of 2014 and duly allot a place to the petitioner for street vending at Gandhi Mandapam of Thirukovilur Town Panchayat within a time frame.

ORDER
[Order of the Court was made by D.KRISHNAKUMAR, J.] The writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus directing the first respondent to form a Town Vending Committee, Ward and Zone Vending Committee within his jurisdiction of Thirukovilur Town Panchayat, as per the provisions of the Central Act No.7 of 2014 and duly allot a place to the petitioner for street vending at Gandhi Mandapam of Thirukovilur Town Panchayat within a time frame.
2. Today when the matter is taken up, Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents has produced a copy of the order passed by the Commissioner, Thirukovilur Municipality in Na.Ka.No.51/2016/A2 dated 06.06.2023, wherein it has been stated that election has been conducted for the selection of Town Vending Committee and a new Town Vending Committee has been constituted for the present Kallakurichi Town and the request of the
petitioners have been considered and Identify Cards were issued to the persons / vendors concerned to run the street vending shops and the said persons were now running bunk shops in the Town Vending Zone.
3. In the light of the above, nothing survives for further adjudication in the writ petition. If the petitioners are having grievance, if is open to them to approach the Town Vending Committee. The Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above liberty. No costs. Consequently connected miscellaneous petition is also dismissed.
