ORDER

Seeking for a direction to the respondent to furnish the N.O.C to put the Digital Banner at seven places in Tindivanam, the petitioner has come up with this petition.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent and perused the material placed on record.

3.This petition is filed for permission to erect the digital banner at seven places in Tindivanam. The Commissioner of Police, Chennai City, has no jurisdiction over Tindivanam area and that apart, it does not come within the ambit of the Commissioner of Police, Chennai City. Hence, this petition filed under Section 482 CrPC is not maintainable, because erection of digital banners does not fall within the provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure. Hence, this petition is closed, with a liberty to the petitioner to approach the appropriate Authority in the manner known to law.
