O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to rectify the anomaly of junior (Tmt.D.Mariya Banu) drawing more than the petitioner (senior) by stepping up the pay of the petitioner on par with his junior as on 01.06.2012 in the cadre of Elementary School Headmaster and fix his pay as on 01.06.2012 at Rs.25,710/- in the scale of pay of Rs.15600-39100 + Grade Pay Rs.5400 and disburse the consequential monetary benefits by considering the petitioner representation dated 22.03.2017.

2. Grievance expressed by the petitioner is that since, he being senior in the cadre of Elementary School Headmaster and was drawing lesser pay than his junior Tmt.Mariya, Banu, the anomaly of his junior drawing more pay than him has to be rectified by stepping up his pay on par with his junior. The petitioner, in this regard, has also submitted a representation dated 22.03.2017 and in view of long pending representation, came forward with this writ petition.

3. Mr.P.Raja, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents 1 and 2, sought for time to consider the pending representation.

4. Placing on record the submission made by the learned Government Advocate, this Court directs the respondents 1 and 2 to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 22.03.2017 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. This Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
