O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to delete the petitioner's name from the history sheet rowdy list in H.S.No.37 of 2015 pending on the file of the third respondent based on the petitioner's representation dated 20.03.2025.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent- Police and perused the materials available on record.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that a case was registered as against the petitioner and six others in Crime No.71 of 2025 for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 341, 294(b) and 302 IPC and the same was taken on file as Sessions Case No.155 of 2016 on the file

of the I Additional District and Sessions Court, Cuddalore. The learned Sessions Judge not found the accused guilty and acquitted the accused persons vide order dated 24.07.2017. He further submitted that no other case is pending as against the petitioner. Hence he sought for allowing this petition.

4. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents conceded that the Sessions Case No.155 of 2016 on the file of the I Additional District and Sessions Court, Cuddalore was ended in acquittal and except the said case, no other case is pending as against the petitioner.

5. In view of the same, the respondent-Police is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.03.2025 and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the abovesaid direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
