..Respondent(s) PRAYER - This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the representation given by the petitioner dated 10.04.2026 for awarding compensation for the acquired land and to issue No Objection Certificate for the balance non acquired extent of land belongs to the petitioner within a stipulated period in accordance with law.

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to issue No Objection Certificate in favour of the petitioner for the balance extent of land which is not the subject matter of the land acquisition, based on the petitioner's representation dated 10.04.2026, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 2.According to the petitioner, larger extent of land belonging to the petitioner was acquired by the respondents. The petitioner claims that he had retained a lesser extent which is not the subject matter of the land acquisition. The petitioner had given a representation on 10.04.2026 to the respondents, requesting them to issue No Objection Certificate for the said land which is not the subject matter of the land acquisition. Since the said representation was not considered, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition. 3.Ms.
Indhubala, learned Additional Government Pleader, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. No prejudice will be caused to the respondents if the petitioner's representation as stated supra is considered on merits and in accordance with law after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioner, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation.
4.For the foregoing reasons, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the 2nd respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation dated 10.04.2026, seeking for issuance of No Objection Certificate for the lands which according to the petitioner was not the subject matter of the land acquisition, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioner, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
