O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking direction to direct the first respondent to withdraw the investigation in reference to crime No.881 of 2020 from the file of the third respondent and handover the same to some other agency for proper investigation.

2. Heard Mr.M.Senthilkumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.M.Prabhavathi, learned Additional Public

Prosecutor appearing for the respondents police.

3. Today when the petition came up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that though this petition has been filed for the transfer of investigation from the file of the third respondent to some other agency, it would suffice to direct the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Nagapattinam to monitor the investigation made by the third respondent in Crime No..881 of 2020.

4. Now on considering the other circumstances, the petitioner herein preferred a complaint before the third respondent police alleging that gold, jewels and cash has stolen away from his custody. Therefore, considering the seriousness of the occurrence, this Court has held that the prayer sought for by the petitioner is a reasonable one.

5. Therefore, considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Nagapattinam to monitor the investigation made by the third respondent police in Crime No.881 of 2020 pending on the file of the third respondent.

6. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
