ORDER

This petition has been filed by the petitioners seeking to provide police protection to their property. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. In connection with the property in plot Nos.1 and 3 comprised in S.No.358/1 at Padur Village, Kancheepuram District, the petitioners herein had filed the civil suits in O.S.Nos.163 of 2015 and 164 of 2015 wherein the interim orders seems to have been granted. As against the same, the respondents 3 to 8 herein had filed two Civil Miscellaneous Petitions. The first C.M.A.No.2/17 was dismissed, while the other C.M.A.No.3/17 is pending

3. In view of the fact that the dispute with regard to the title over the subject property is pending consideration, before the civil court, it would not be appropriate for this Court to direct the respondent to extend police protection.

4. In view of the above observation, the Criminal Original Petition stands closed.

5. Nevertheless, it is always open to the petitioners to approach the appropriate court seeking for similar relief. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any of its views on the rights and possession of the respective parties with regard to subject land.
