Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarifed Mandamus to call for records of the 1st respondent in connection with the impugned order passed by him in PR No.66/2016 u/r 3(b) dated 11.02.2017 and quash the same and direct the respondents to reinstate the petitioner into service and grant her all consequential service and monetary benefits.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the impugned order passed by the first respondent in PR No.66/2016 u/r 3(b) dated 11.02.2017 and to quash the same and direct the respondents to reinstate the petitioner into service and grant her all consequential service and monetary benefits.

2. Mr.V.Kadhirvelu, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2.

3. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up and disposed of at the stage of admission itself. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. Though the prayer sought for in this Writ Petition is for a larger relief, the learned cousnel appearing for the petitioner, during the course of hearing would submit that if would suffice if the mercy petition given by the petitioner to the Director Geeneral of Police, seeking reinstatement, may be directed to be considered, within a stipulated period.

5. The learned Special Government Pleader who accepts notice for the respondents would submit that if such mercy petition is pending, the Director General of Police shall take action on the said petition in accordance with law.

6. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on either side, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction of the Director General of Police, the second respondent herein to dispose of the mercy petition filed by the petitioner on 12.06.2017, if not already disposed of, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
