ORDER

The prayer in this Criminal Original Petition is filed to quash the case in S.C.No.122 of 2026 pending on the file of the Fast Track Mahila Court, Vellore on the ground of compromise.

2. It is seen that the petitioner/accused is the husband and the second respondent/de facto complainant is the wife. They have now joined together and are living together and have ironed out the differences between them.

3. In view of the law laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of B.S.Joshi & Ors. Vs State of Haryana & Anr.1 as between the husband and wife, when compromise has been arrived and when the parties joined together, this is a fit case to exercise the extraordinary jurisdiction under Section 528 of BNSS by this Court to quash the case.

4. In view thereof, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed and the final report and all further proceedings in S.C.No.122 of 2026 on the file of the Fast Track Mahila Court, Vellore is quashed.
