O R D E R
Heard Mr.S.Ilamvaludhi, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr.V.Jayaprakash Narayanan, learned Special Government Pleader for first and second respondents and Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned counsel for fourth respondent.
2. The petitioners seek for a direction upon the 3rd respondent to consider the representation given by the petitioners on 18.11.2014.
3. A counter affidavit has been filed by the Commissioner of the Panchayat Union, Thiruthuraipundi and the following stand has been taken:- "It is submitted that all the events are communicated to the District Administration from time to time as per instructions and rules as prescribed for that purpose. This respondent has taken steps to the representations given by the petitioner. Hence question of not taking action does not arise.
It is submitted that action was taken on the representation given by the Members of the Panchayat Union, namely Tmt.S.Gnanasoundari, Tr.V.T.Selvan, Tr.Surendran and Tr.M.N.Raja vide Rc.No.1764/2014//A2 dated 18.11.2014 and the same was inspected by the Executive Engineer (RD), DRDA, Thiruvarur and report is awaited.
It is submitted that an enquiry committee has been constituted by the District Collector vide RC.No.6444/2014/A3(D), dated 11.12.2014 for the above said purpose."
In the light of the stand that already the enquiry committee has been constituted by the District Collector vide proceedings dated 11.12.2014 has seized of the matter, no further order is required and hence the Writ Petition is disposed of and it is open to respondents to proceed in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible. -s/d- Assistant Registrar True Copy Sub-Assistant Registrar ssd
