ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents not to harass the petitioner's husband Hari @ Harikrishnan, and her family members.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3. It is seen that the petitioner's husband is an accused in Crime No.987 of 2016 for the offences under Sections 75 of the Tamil Nadu City Police Act, 1888 and 7(1)(a) of the Criminal Law Amendment Act, 2005.

4. The Police are on look out for the petitioner's husband and they called the petitioner for enquiry. Under such circumstances, blanket order of 'not to harass' cannot be passed. The petitioner shall co-operate for the enquiry and during the course of enquiry, she shall not be harassed. However, if any cognizable offence is made out, this order would not be a shield against the arrest of the accused. With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
