Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents granting renewal of Secretaryship in favour of the petitioner college by revoking the order of direct payment based on the representation submitted by the College dated 12.05.2018 followed by several representations lastly submitted on 16.12.2019, within a time frame fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

The learned counsel for the petitioner made a submission that during the pendency of the Writ Petition, the respondent / Department has passed an order on 09.11.2020. Since the respondent / Department has taken a decision and passed an order on 09.11.2020, the relief for Writ of Mandamus is not entertainable. Therefore, the relief as such sought for in the present Writ Petition lost its relevance on account of the subsequent order passed by the respondent / Department. If any grievance exist, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the competent authority in the manner known to law.
