Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to pay compensation to the petitioner for her house and land 2120 sq.ft. in S.No.228/4 Vanagaram Mettukuppam Village, Maduravoyal (Ambattur) Taluk, Tiruvallur District acqwured for the Chennai By-pass connecting NH.45 & NH.4 as per Letter Na.Ka.9714/06/A3 dated 18.07.2007 of Revenue Divisional Officer, Ponneri within a time to be fixed by this Court along with interest at 18% p.a. For Petitioner : Mr.K.venkatasubba Raju For Respondents: Mr.A.Kumar, Special Government Pleader.

Mr.A.Kumar, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents and by consent of the parties, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2. Heard both sides.

3. The case of the petitioner is that her property was acquired as early as in 1999 by the National Highways Department for the purpose of Outer Ring Road and however, compensation for such acquisition has not been paid to her so far. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. Ventilating such grievance, the petitioner has made a request through her counsel on 05.09.2017, apart from sending a representation by her as early as on 14.09.2016. It is stated that the above request of the petitioner has not been considered so far. Needless to say, that it is for the respondents to consider the request of the petitioner immediately and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, without loss of further time, if the contentions of the petitioner are factually correct. Thus, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to pass orders on those representations of the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law after giving due opportunity of hearing as well, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
