ORDER

The writ petition has been filed to quash the impugned suspension order dated 24.12.2024 in Roc. No.6265/2024/T4 passed by the second respondent and to direct the respondent to revoke the suspension order and permit the petitioner to resume duty as Junior Assistant in the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department Coimbatore.

2. The case of the petitioner is that he was appointed as a Junior Assistant in the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Coimbatore, on compassionate grounds in the year 2019, and has rendered service with an unblemished record. A false complaint was lodged against him on 17.12.2024, which led to his arrest, though he was subsequently granted bail. While he was in custody, he was placed under suspension retrospectively from 18.12.2024, by an order dated 24.12.2024. The petitioner submitted detailed representations on 05.02.2025 and 13.03.2025

seeking revocation of the suspension order, but no response received till date. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that he was suspended on 24.12.2024. According to the petitioner, his suspension is not in connection with any official function and that it was ordered only because of his remand. Since December 2024, his suspension has not been revoked. It is further submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that he had given a representation on 13.03.2025, but the respondents have not considered his representation.

4. At this juncture, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that the petitioner's representation will be considered by the respondents within a reasonable time.

5. In such view of the matter, without going into the merits of the case, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 13.03.2025 and pass appropriate orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three weeks

from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.

With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 18.06.2025 nsl Index:Yes/No Speaking order/Non-speaking order To 1.
