Respondents Prayer:- Writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the first and second respondents to expedite and complete the enquiry in respect of the patta land, measuring to an extent of 0.30.0 hectares, comprised in S.No.94, (Part) Door No.830, Thiruvottriyur High Road, Chennai - 600 019, now pending before the second respondent in Na.Ka.No.155/2015, dated 06.06.2015, within the time, that may be stipulated by this Court.

Seeking for issuance of patta, the petitioner submitted a representation along with all necessary documents, pursuant to which, an enquiry was proposed to be conducted by the second respondent. But there is no finality reached till date, despite repeated representations made by the petitioner. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that, on the title to the subject matter, a suit is pending before the Civil Court. Hence, the learned counsel submitted that, it would be suffice, if the enquiry is ordered to be completed by the second respondent within the stipulated period, as directed by this Court.

The learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2 submits that the enquiry would be completed within the time limit, as directed by this Court.

In view of the above submissions made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government for respondents 1 and 2, this Writ Petition is disposed of, by directing the second respondent to conduct the enquiry and after affording opportunity of being heard to the petitioner as well as to the respondents 3 and 4 and complete the enquiry on merits and in accordance with law within a period of three weeks. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
