This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the first respondent to de-freeze/remove lien on the Bank account No.50100220171621, HDFC Bank, Poonamallee High Road, Chennai..

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and perused the materials available on record.

3. It is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that upon instructions made by the second respondent-Police, the first respondent had frozen the petitioner's Account. Hence, the petitioner is seeking direction to the first respondent to de-freeze the account. On a perusal of the records, it is seen that the second respondent/Police belonged to Punjab State. Hence, this Court is not inclined to entertain this writ petition. However, the petitioner is at liberty to work out his remedy before appropriate forum.

4. With the abovesaid direction, the Writ Petition is dismissed.

No costs.
