O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.05.2016.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner; learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents and perused the materials placed on record.

3. On the complaint given by Sundaramurthy, the 2nd respondent police have registered a case in Crime No.186 of 2016 on 01.04.2016 for offences under Sections 279 and 337 IPC.

4. It is the case of Sundaramurthy that while he was going by two-wheeler, a tipper lorry had hit his motor bike from behind, on account of which, he was thrown off and sustained serious injuries, resulting his hospitalisation. On information from the hospital authorities, the respondent police came to the hospital and recorded the statement of Sundaramurthy. Based on which, the FIR was registered as https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

aforesaid. Since Sundaramurthy did not know the number of the lorry, the case has been registered as hit and run.

5. Now, the petitioner, who is the wife of Sundaramurthy has given a representation dated 25.05.2016 to the 1st respondent, in which, she has disclosed a number of a lorry, which is said to have caused the accident.

6. The petitioner is directed to go in-person and give the representation to the Inspector of Police, Uthukuli Police Station, Tiruppur District, who shall look into the same and conduct investigation, in order to ascertain the true offender. This Court directs the jurisdictional Deputy Superintendent of Police or Assistant Commissioner as the case may be, to monitor the investigation in Crime No.186 of 2016 on the file of the 2nd respondent police.

With the above direction, this petition is closed. No costs.
