Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to pass order on the Appeal dated 08.08.2016 preferred by the petitioner under Section 19(3) of the Right to Information Act. The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the first respondent to pass orders on the Appeal dated 08.08.2016 preferred by the petitioner under Section 19(3) of the Right to Information Act.
2. The writ petition was filed in the year 2016 and five years have lapsed.
3. Under these circumstances, the first respondent is directed to verify if the said appeal is pending or not and if the same is pending, then it is to be disposed of as expeditiously as possible. On the other hand, if it is already disposed of, no further order sought to be communicated to the petitioner.
4. With the abovesaid directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
