Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent herein to dispose of the appeal dated 07.08.2017 submitted by the petitioner in accordance with law and within the stipulated period.

Mr.A.Kumar, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus to direct the 1st respondent herein to dispose of the appeal dated 07.08.2017 submitted by the petitioner in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court.

3. Heard Mr.K.Govi Ganesan, the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.Kumar, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

4. It is stated that the petitioner sought for reclassification of a particular land which the second respondent https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

has refused. Therefore, the petitioner filed an appeal before the first respondent against the order passed by the second respondent and the said appeal is said to be pending till today.

5. Without expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner, this writ petition is disposed of only with a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the said appeal and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
