The petitioner herein seeks police protection to lay pipe line from the well to irrigate his patta land. Alleging that the neighboring land owners had disputed with his right to draw water from the well, the present petition is filed.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police states that the well from which the petitioner wants to draw water, there is a dispute, since the neighbors claim that they are the co-sharers of the well. The police is unable to give any protection to the petitioner to draw water exclusively by laying pipe line. 3.

Since the matter is stepping into civil dispute regarding title over the well, the prayer sought in this petition cannot be entertained. Hence this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 20.06.2024 Index : Yes/No rpl To 2/4
