Prayer :- Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the eighth respondent to measure and demarcate the petitioner's patta land from that of the river bund, thereby restore the petitioner's land in its original position.

ORDER

This writ petition is filed for direction directing the eighth respondent to measure and demarcate the petitioner's patta land from that of the river bund, thereby restore the petitioner's land in its original position.

2. Heard, Mr.C.R.Malarvannan, the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Baladhandayutham, Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. Without expressing any opinion on merits of the writ petition, the eighth respondent is directed to issue notice to the petitioner and measure the land comprised in survey No.306/4, old patta No.2967, new patta No.12731 as per patta survey No.306/4B to an extent of 5167 sq.ft. situated at Varatharajapuram, Sriperumbudur Taluk, Kancheepuram District with the assistance of the revenue officials and serve the survey report to the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.
