Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to extend the benefits of G.O.Ms.No.281 Finance (Pay Cell) Department dt 2.4.1987 and G.O.Ms.304 (Pay Commission) Department dated 28.3.1990 to considering petitioner representation dated 10.10.2015.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner who was appointed as a Secondary Grade Teacher on 05.06.1986 got promotion as Middle School Headmaster on 03.06.1988 and got his promotion as Headmaster on 12.06.1996 and transferred to Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Chennai and claims to have put in 26 years of service and he has not been given benefits of G.O.Ms.No.281 Finance (Pay Cell) Department, dated 02.04.1987 and G.O.Ms.No.304 Finance (Pay Commission) Department, dated 28.03.1990 and in this regard submitted representation dated 10.10.2015 to the respondents 1 to 4 and since no orders have been passed, came forward to file this writ petition.

3.Heard the submissions of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.Gunasekaran, learned Government Advocate who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3. 4.Though the petitioner prayed for the larger relief, this Court in the light of the facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, directs the respondents 1 and 2 to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 10.10.2015 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
