petitioner's husband's detention under Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 vide detention order dated 08.06.2022 on the file of the second respondent herein made in proceedings in C3/D.O.No.74/2022, quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the respondents herein to produce the petitioner's husband namely Palani, son of Thirumeni, aged 42 years before this Court and set the petitioner's husband at liberty from detention, now the petitioner's husband detained at Central Prison, Salem. ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH.J.,] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in C3/D.O.No.74/2022 dated 08.06.2022, detaining her husband as "Drug Offender", as contemplated under Section 2(e) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor reports that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by

its order in G.O.Rt.No.4393, Home, Prohibition and Excise (IX) Department, dated 14.07.2022 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
