2. Mr.Vijay Kumar, learned Standing counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent University submitted that the petitioner has misconstrued the entire scope of the arrears examination for which the students were asked to pay the examination fees. The learned counsel submitted that the arrears examination in question is a special arrears examination that was sought to be conducted by the respondent University for those students who are having arrears for years together. The learned counsel submitted that this arrears exam called for by the Anna University does not pertain to the regular arrears examination for those students who are undergoing the course. The learned counsel further submitted that the matter is now pending adjudication before the Division Bench and only after final orders are passed by the Division Bench, the Anna University will move forward to conduct the arrears examination and at that point of time, the students will be put on notice. Recording the submissions of the learned Standing counsel, this writ petition is closed. No costs.
