O R D E R

The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing respondents to correct the computer patta given to the petitioner on 18.02.2015 as per the recommendation of Egmore Tahsildar, the third respondent, in a communication dated 25.10.2019 to the 2nd respondent.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that in the computer patta issued to him in respect of his property bearing No.43/1

(New No.12), Nowroji Road, Chetpet, Chennai - 600 031, there were some errors, hence, he requested to rectify the errors crept in the computer patta and issue a fresh patta to him. The 3rd respondent by his communications dated 25.10.2019 and 06.11.2020 recommended for the issuance of a fresh computerized patta rectifying the errors that were found in the patta dated 18.02.2015. However, the 2nd respondent has not issued the rectified computerized patta to the petitioner sofar.

3. Mr.B.Ramamoorthy, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has also given several representations to the respondents for the issuance of computerized patta, however, the respondents have not issued the rectified computerized patta to the petitioner sofar.

4. Ms.A.Madhumathi, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that 2nd respondent may be directed to consider the 3rd respondent's recommendations dated 25.10.2019 and 06.11.2020 and issue a computerized patta within a time frame.

Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, since the 2nd respondent has not issued the computerized patta to the petitioner in spite of the 3rd respondent's recommendations dated 25.10.2019 and 06.11.2020, I direct the 2nd respondent to issue the corrected computerized patta to the petitioner in respect of the petitioner's property based on the recommendations made by the 3rd respondent, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
