For Petitioner : Mr.V.Manohar For Respondents : Mr.Yogesh Kannadasan Government Advocate
ORDER
(1) Mr.Yogesh Kannadasan, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.
(2) The writ petition has been filed in the nature of a mandamus seeking a direction to the respondents, particularly the 3rd respondent/Tahsildar, Othivakkam Village, Pannagattupakkam, Vandalur Taluk, Chengalpattu District to effect mutation of revenue records with respect to S.Nos.93/3, 98/2 and 98/5 in Othivakkam Village, Vandalur Taluk, Chengalpattu District.
(3) Mr.V.Manohar, learned counsel for the petitioner pointed out that the petitioner had been running from pillar to post on this particular aspect and had actually been giving representations from the year 2012 onwards, but unfortunately, there has been no effective progress or examination of the said representations. Learned counsel also draws inspiration from the proceedings of the 2nd respondent dated 22.10.2020 in U.Mu.516/2020 in which the 2nd respondent appears to have given a more or less positive direction to the 3rd respondent / Tahsildar, to grant such mutation in accordance with the Rules. In this connection, the petitioner had given a representation lastly on 22.10.2021 which was addressed to the 1st respondent/District Collector, Chengalpattu District.
(4) A direction is therefore given to the writ petitioner to forward a similar representation to the 3rd respondent/Tahsildar within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and thereafter, the 3rd respondent is placed under obligation to pass orders on the said representation within a period of six further weeks.
(5) The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
