This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for police protection.

Already the petitioner was attacked by the accused person and based on the complaint given by the petitioner, an FIR was also registered by the respondent police in Crime No.66 of 2019 under various offences. The grievance of the petitioner is that the accused person was arrested and thereafter, he was released on bail. After coming out of bail, the accused person is again threatening the petitioner and therefore, there is a potential danger for his life and limb. The petitioner therefore has given a representation to the 1st and 2nd respondent seeking for police protection.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents.

4. There shall be a direction to the second respondent to immediately enquire into the complaint given by the petitioner seeking for police protection. If on enquiry, the second respondent finds that the accused persons are again involving in causing threat to the petitioner, appropriate action may be taken in accordance with law and it is even open to the police or the petitioner to seek for cancellation of bail.

5. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of, accordingly.
