ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 408, 468, 471, 477(A), 420 of IPC in Crime No.12 of 2024 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that while the petitioner herein, was working as Secretary in the Saidapet Co-operative Primary Agriculture and Rural Development Bank, he is alleged to have been misappropriated to the tune of Rs.31,09,580/-. Hence, the Deputy Registrar of Co-operative Society alleged a complaint with the respondent police and the case is under investigation.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has not committed any crime as alleged and he is ready to co-operate with the investigation.

4.A detailed counter has been filed by the respondent police indicating that the misappropriation came to notice through Audit and 2/4

enquiry under Section 81 of TNCS Act was initiated. Thereafter the crime of the petitioner as Secretary in the defacto complainant bank collected gold loan amount from the borrowers and not giving credit to the bank's day book, sub day book, general ledger and swindled the amount with him. This petitioner along with the staff of the Co-operative Society had falsify the records namely, the day book and general ledger and appropriated a sum of Rs.31,09,580/-.

5. Considering the out come of the enquiry report and the complaint, this Criminal Original Petition for anticipatory bail stands dismissed.
