By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2 The petitioner was directly recruited as SubInspector of Police during the year 1997-1998 and his name was recommended for inclusion in "C" List for promotion to the post of Inspector of Police. He was issued with a charge memo dated 19.12.2009, which ultimately ended in compulsory retirement and the appeal preferred by the petitioner to the Appellate Authority has also ended in dismissal on 19.08.2014. The petitioner has filed review petition/application dated 01.10.2014 before the 1st respondent through proper channel and since no orders have been passed, the petitioner came forward to file this writ petition.

This Court heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.V.Subbiah, learned Special Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the same, directs the respondent to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

consider and dispose of the petitioner's review dated 01.10.2014 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.

6 The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
