ORDER
The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the Old S.F. number has been wrongly mentioned as "31" instead of "32" in the prayer of this writ petition. Recording the said submission, the prayer of this writ petition is amended to the following effect and the Registry is directed to carry out the necessary amendment in the cause title :- "For the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit it is humbly prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to Writ of Mandamus direction, directing respondent to consider and dispose of petitioners application dated 25.08.2022 bearing Application No.187 for transfer of patta and issuance of patta in respect of the property situated at Old SF No.32, admeasuring to an total extent of 1 acre at Chennasandaram Village, Hosur Taluk, within the Sub Registration district of Hosur and Registration district of Krishnagiri and pass such further or other orders has this Hon'ble Court deem fit to pass and thus render justice."
2. This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to transfer the patta for the property morefully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition in the name of the petitioner, based on his application dated 25.08.2022 bearing Application No.187, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

3. According to the petitioner, despite the aforesaid application submitted with the respondent, till date, patta has not been transferred in his name. According to the petitioner, even though summons was issued to the petitioner and survey was also conducted, no further steps have been taken by the respondent in respect of his application seeking transfer of patta in his name. Only under those circumstances, this writ petition has been filed.
4. Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.
5. The petitioner has filed supporting documents along with this writ petition in support of his application seeking transfer of patta in his favour for the property morefully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the same.
6. No prejudice would be caused to the respondent, if the petitioner's application as stated supra is considered, on merits and in Page No.3 of 6
accordance with law, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioner, and after hearing all the necessary parties, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's application.
7. For the foregoing reasons, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the respondent to pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law, on the petitioner's application, dated 25.08.2022 bearing Appliation No.187 seeking transfer of patta in his name for the property morefully disclosed in the affidavit filed in support of this writ petition, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioner, and after hearing all the necessary parties, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
