Prayer in Crl.O.P.No.4968/2015: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code praying for a direction to the respondent authorities to provide adequate police protection by deploying adequate number of armed police force in the premises of the petitioner viz., Apostolic Christian Assembly, at No.26, Shanmugarayan Street, Purasawalkam, Chennai-600 007 as well as its office bearers.

C O M M O N O R D E R These petitions have been filed, seeking a direction to the respondents to register a case in respect of the complaint dated 16.02.2015 submitted by the petitioner institution regarding the offences of criminal breach of trust, illegal confinement, large scale damage to the properties of the petitioner institution within a stipulated time and also to provide adequate police protection by deploying adequate number of armed police force in the premises of the petitioner.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor representing the respondentpolice and also perused the counter filed by the second respondent.

3. It is seen from the counter that on the complaint given by the petitioner, a case was registered in Crime No.316 of 2015 for the offences under Sections 147, 341, 294(b), 336, 342, 427, 448 and 506(ii) IPC against the accused namely Chelladurai, Robinson, Moganraj, Elango, Ashok Abragam, Samson, Joseph and Others on 16.02.2015. It is further stated that earlier to that, a case in Crime No.153 of 2015 was registered by G1, Vepery Police Station for offence under Section 145 CrPC and the same is pending enquiry before the Executive Magistrate, Purasawalkam. It is also stated that the respondent police provided police protection to the Church headed by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Kilpauk along with the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Vepery, Kilpauk and Ayanavaram Ranges and 12 Inspector of Police, 15 Sub-Inspector of Police, 20 Taluk Police, Armed Reserve Police and other police people were provided for giving protection to the petitioner viz., Apostolic Christian Assembly at Purasawalkam, Chennai.

4. Recording the above, these Criminal Original Petitions are closed.
