Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and perused the material placed on record.

2.It is seen that the petitioner was convicted by the Court below and also the conviction and sentence imposed was confirmed on 16.10.2014. Thereafter, the petitioner/accused has filed this petition for compounding the offences. An application for compounding the offence is maintainable, after the criminal case is disposed of provided if an affidavit is filed by both the parties, the complainant and the accused. In this case, only the accused has come with this petition. This Court cannot force the complainant to file an affidavit to compound the offences.
