The petitioner herein alleging harassment by the respondent police under the guise of investigation in a civil dispute is before this Court for protection.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police states that one Bhuvaneswari given a complaint stating that the property sold to the petitioner sought to be re-transferred as per the understanding. But instead of re-transferring, the petitioner herein threatened her. Therefore, C.S.R., has been registered. The petitioner was called for enquiry on 11.05.2024. The petitioner has not participated in the enquiry.

From the reading of the petition, this Court finds that a civil dispute between the petitioner and one Bhuvaneswari is pending before the District Magistrate, Dharmapuri in O.S.No.44 of 2024. If the complaint is in respect of the civil dispute which is pending before the civil Court, the respondent police shall collect the necessary records from the petitioner herein and close the complaint. 4.

For the said purpose, appearance of the petitioner before the respondent police is required. Hence the petitioner is hereby directed to appear before the respondent police on 25.06.2024 and furnish all the material documents available with them.
