Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, calling upon the production of the records relating to the detention order dated 25.08.2020 made in detention order Memo No.326/BCDFGISSSV/2020 passed by the second respondent herein quash the same and direct the respondents to produce the body or person of the petitioner is the detenu of sister accused Sanjai, Male, son of Mani, aged about 38 years branded as Goonda and now confined in Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai, before this Court and set him at liberty.

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in Memo No.326/BCDFGISSSV/2020 on 25.08.2020, detaining her brother as "Goonda" under Section 2(f) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.
2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that, the detenu died on 22.01.2021, due to cardiac arrest, while he was in judicial custody in the Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai and he also produced a copy of his Death Certificate.
3. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
