Respondents PRAYER: PETITION is filed under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the third respondent herein to issue patta for the Dry Agricultural land D.C.(Depressed Classes) land measuring about 5,000 acres in Survey Nos.60/2C to 60/6 in Vasudevanour Village Limit and 5.00 acres in Survey Nos.79/5 and 79/6 and other lands in Poondi Village Limit of Chinnasalem Taluk, Villupuram District as submitted in the representation of the petitioner herein dated 14.10.2015.

ORDER

On 21.03.2014, the petitioner has made a representation to the third respondent stating that he is entitled for a separate patta with respect to the lands situated in Survey Nos.60/2C to 60/6 in Vasudevanour Village Limit and in Survey Nos.79/5 and 79/6 and other lands in Poondi Village Limit of Chinnasalem Taluk, Villupuram District. been considered and appropriate orders have not been passed, the present writ petition has been filed.

The petitioner, who is appearing in person, has relied upon the proceedings of the Revenue Divisional Officer, Kallakurichi, in Na.Ka.A2/698/2014 dated 11.10.2014 in support of his case.

Taking into consideration of the pendency of the representation said to have been made by the petitioner to the third respondent on 21.03.2014, without going into the merits of the case, the third respondent is directed to dispose of the said representation made by the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording opportunity of being heard. While doing so, the third respondent shall consider the scope and applicability of the proceedings of the Revenue Divisional Officer, Kallakurichi dated 11.10.2014 to the case of the petitioner. It is also open to the third respondent to hear the third parties, if any.

The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
