ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking to issue Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 14.06.2022 and to promote the petitioner to the post of Secretary/Assistant Secretary.

2. It is pertinent to note that, in the light of the larger bench judgment of this Court in K.MARAPPAN VS. DEPUTY REGISTRAR OF CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY, NAMAKKAL reported in 2006 (4) CTC 689, the writ petition filed against the Co-operative Society is not maintainable.

3. Accordingly, it is ordered as follows.

i) This writ petition is dismissed as not maintainable. No costs. ii) Liberty is granted to the petitioner to approach the competent authority seeking his relief.

ii) If such representation being received, the first respondent, shall consider the same and take appropriate decision, as early as possible.
