O R D E R
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking direction to direct the third respondent to expedite the investigation and laid final report in Crime No.67 of 2017 pending on his file within the time as stipulated by this Court.
2. Heard Mr.K.V.Muthu Visakan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.M.Prabhavathi, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.
3. Today when the petition came up for hearing, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents police on instructions, would submit that in respect of petition mentioned crime number, the third respondent police herein had almost completed the enquiry and as of now, the case records are pending with investigation officer for receiving the reports from the forensic department. In this regard, he prays for three more months time to file final report.
4. Accordingly, in view of the said submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court directs the second respondent to file a final report within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order without fail.
5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
