ORDER

By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus to direct the respondent Nos.2 and 3 to measure the petitioner's properties in Survey Numbers 76/2A, 80/8B, 154/7B, 155/1A and 155/2B2 to a total extent of land about 99.50 acres in Gopalapuram Village, Pethanaicken Palayam Taluk, Salem District by disposing of the petitioner's online application dated 07.04.2025 vide petition No.2025/0123/08/009217.

3. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is the absolute owner of the property comprised in 76/2A, 80/8B, 154/7B, 155/1A and 155/2B2 to a total extent of land about 99.50 acres in 2/5

Gopalapuram Village, Pethanaicken Palayam Taluk, Salem District. The said property originally belonged to petitioner's ancestors. The revenue officials have also issued patta in the name of the petitioner in Patta No.26. Hence, the petitioner filed an on-line application dated 07.04.2025 before the respondents to measure the subject property and has also paid necessary charges. The said application was not considered by the respondents till date. Hence the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

On this being pointed out, the learned Special Government Pleader would submit that they would consider the petitioner's online application dated 07.04.2025 and carry out measurement and complete the process within a time frame to be fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed of with the direction to the second and third respondents to consider petitioner's online application dated 07.04.2025 and carry out measurement, and complete the process within a period of 8 weeks from the date of uploading of the web copy without waiting for the receipt of certified copy, after giving prior notice to the petitioner, adjacent land owners and other interested parties including rival claimants if any. It is made 3/5

clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law. No costs.
