ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents to return the original certificates retained by the respondents during admission to Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Radio Diagnosis in the 5th respondent Government College during the academic year 2018-2019.

2. The petitioners state that they have completed the course in the year 2020 itself and the bond period has already come to an end and despite the same, the respondents have not returned the original certificates back to the petitioners. In such circumstances, this writ petition has been filed.

3. Heard Mr.I.Calvin Jones, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.K.H.Ravi Kumar, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3 and Mr.Shubharanjani Ananth, learned Standing Counsel for the fourth respondent.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 submits that he has received written instructions from the Directorate of Medical Education intimating that the certificates received from the petitioners can be returned to them in view of the fact that it has been more than two years since they had completed their courses.

5. The written instructions received from the Director of Medical Education on 12.07.2022 is taken on record.

In terms of the undertaking given by the respondents, the petitioners are directed to approach the fifth respondent for return of their original certificates, which were submitted by them in the year 2018 and on receipt of the request from the petitioners, the fifth respondent shall return the original certificates back to the respective petitioners forthwith.
