Respondents PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 4 to remove the encroachment made by the respondents 5 to 8 in the lake in S.F.Nos.160/B, 161/B, 162/163 known as Allikulam situate at No.106, Edayalam Village, Madurantagam Taluk, Kancheepuram District within a stipulated period.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) The writ petition has been filed with a prayer to direct the respondent authorities to remove the encroachment made by respondent Nos.5 to 8 in S.F.Nos.160/B, 161/1B, 162/163 at No.106, Edayalam Village, Madurantagam Taluk, Kancheepuram District.

2. We direct respondent No.4/Tahsildar to cause a local inspection of the land in question at No.106, Edayalam Village, Madurantagam Taluk, Kancheepuram District, within a fortnight. If any encroachment is found, the official respondents shall take action in accordance with law, after putting on notice all concerned, particularly respondent Nos.5 to 8 before us, and conclude the proceedings within two months from the date of inspection.
