Respondents Prayers: The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to forthwith return the lorry of the petitioner bearing Reg.No.TN-01-C- 4379, which was seized at Thirumazhisai by the Tahsildar, Sriperumpudur Taluk on 31.12.1992 and lying in the custody of the second respondent in Poonamallee Police Station, Poonamallee, with the same condition as it was at the time of seizure of the vehicle by the respondents and also give liberty to the petitioner to claim for the loss caused by the respondents due to the illegal detention of the petitioner's lorry.
