ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 419, 465, 467, 468, 471 read with Section 34 and 120 B IPC, in Crime No.89 of 2021, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that, the defacto complainant's mother by name Sushila is the original owner of the property in Plot No.54 and 55 in S.Nos. 1184/1, 1184/2B situated in Madhavaram Village. The defacto complainant's mother Sushila died on 19.06.2006. It is alleged that the petitioner along with other accused had registered forged and fabricated document of mortgage deeds in respect of Plot No.54 and it is further alleged that the petitioner along with other accused cheated the defacto complainant to the tune of Rs.25 lakhs. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and no way connected with the alleged offence. Hence he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that investigation not yet completed. Hence, he opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering that the petitioner being the retired District Superintendent of Police, who is the mastermind behind the entire crime, this Court is of the view that custodial interrogation of the petitioner is very much required to complete the investigation. Hence, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
