ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondent to expedite the investigation in Crime No.104 of 2012, to submit a final report before the competent Court of jurisdiction and to take appropriate action against the accused in accordance with law.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that investigation in Crime No.104 of 2012 has been completed and final report is ready. Since the Supreme Court has granted stay of all proceedings before the Special Court for Land Grabbing cases, the Police were not able to file the final report before the Special Court for Land Grabbing cases at Tiruvallur. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. Under such circumstances, the respondent-Police is directed to file the final report before the jurisdictional Court viz., Judicial Magistrate Court No.I, Poonamallee, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Poonamallee, is directed to take the final report on file and pass orders in accordance with law.

With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
